Union Army Defeats Confederates at Missionary Ridge

Arthur MacArthur, the father of Douglas MacArthur, won the Medal of Honor at age 19 for his his bravery during the Battle of Missionary Ridge outside Chattanooga when young Arthur charged the summit at a critical phase in the battle, planted the regimental flag, and shouted “On, Wisconsin!”.
