On this day in 1767, Andrew Jackson was born.  In 1828 Jackson became the only prisoner of war to have been elected president (having been captured by the British during the Revolutionary War when he was a 13 year old soldier).  John McCain would have been the second.

Trump needs better tax lawyers.

Maybe Bernie's, Mitt's or Hillary's.

Camille Paglia Interview

My favorite liberal, lesbian, anti-PC, pro-Bernie, feminist talks about why she supports men and their work, admires southern women, despises current feminism, and can't stand current college students, their professors and administrators. In other words, she shows she understands Flyover Country better than the Democrats.

Jeff Bezos' WAPO Praises Vandalism of Trump Property

How does WAPO characterize the intentional vandalism done to one of Trump's golf courses?

From Howard Kurtz:

"An outrageous lead in the Washington Post captured the animus that underlies much of the coverage of Donald Trump:

'A group of environmental activists pulled off a daring act of defiance.”'

This Could Get Really Interesting

Did Obama Rely on Foreign Intelligence to Surveil Trump?

Are the Dems Asking For An Investigation?

Dems Hoisted On Their Own Petard?

"If you strike at a king, you better kill him. To apply that adage to this scandal, if you investigate a presidential candidate’s campaign and business, you better find something. And the Obama embeds didn’t. That compounds the scandal of their criminal leaks. It is bad enough that they planted stories in the press to the effect that the Trump campaign was under government investigation for ties to Russia. But now it is coming out that they did so knowing full well that that investigation had turned up nothing."

YOU THINK TODAY IS BAD?

On this day in 1954, the Viet Minh surrounded 15,000 French troops at Dien Bien Phu in Vietnam. The French asked Republican President Dwight Eisenhower for military help. Eisenhower, who knew a thing about when and how to fight a war, declined. All but 73 of the French troops were killed or captured by the Viet Minh. The massacre at Dien Bien Phu effectively marked the end of French involvement in Vietnam. 10 years later, Democrat President Lyndon Johnson would ignore the advice of his generals and mislead the American people during the presidential campaign regarding the scope of American involvement in Vietnam and what lay ahead. By the time the Vietnam War was over, 58,000 American boys, most of whom had been drafted and forced to go to Vietnam to fight, had been killed. [Partial source: Lt. General H.R. McMaster (President Donald Trump’s National Security Advisor), Dereliction of Duty (1997).]
